Product Reviews: I will accept books, travel-related gear, Pacific Northwest and British Columbia-related items and travel toys for review, but cannot guarantee a positive review. After products have been reviewed, they’ll be given away or otherwise donated.

Hotel Stays: I don’t accept free hotel stays. I do, at times, ask for media rate at hotels. I don’t always get those rates and I don’t offer rate-for-coverage when writing for Cascadia Kids; media rate does not guarantee a positive review. For the most part, I do what I suggest you do — take advantage of off-season deals, make the most of memberships and find the best rate on the web.

Attraction Passes: Like other journalists, I accept admission to openings, events and attractions for review purposes only. Comped tickets do not necessarily result in positive reviews.

Restaurant Meals: I never accept free meals at restaurants (although some were so bad I wish they were free).
